Hi all,
Newbie here.
Just purchased an 06 Speed triple, after owning an 04 Kawasaki Z1000.
After having a set of akrapovic exhausts an the zed the sound was the best thing I liked about it.
Now my question is that I want a decent sound from the s3, I like the looks off the original cans, so my option is to go for the TORS.
For the people who have fitted them, were you happy with the sound or were you a bit disappointed (to quiet), and did they make any improvement gains?
Thanks for any replys

If you want loud go for the Zard. Don't bother with the TORS as they're are hardly louder than the stock cans. Even the Zard with the dB Killer sounds better.
There again a 3 cyl engine ain't gonna sound like a 4.

Trident exhaust carbon fibre half system with the tuneboy. Same exact size and shape as stock but high grade carbon fiber. Contact peter, he will personally get back with you. Claims of up to 14 hp gain and torque gain thru entire rpm range. Check out trident-exhaust.com.

Got my 06 with the TORS on it, never had the standard cans on it. I found the TORS much too quiet, now I have a full ZARD system and I can't believe how good it sounds... db killer is out and I am having the time of my life !!!

I have the TORs and think they're considerably louder than stock. I like them because I think they sound great and I think they're the best looking cans available. Apparently, others think otherwise.

I think the standard mid pipe looks a drunk pipe bender got the left overs from a moped factory.

I too sold a zed for my Speedy. I had a set of carbon fiber slipons (2 Bros) And I REALLY miss the sound of the zed.
My Speedy has carbon fiber wolf slipons. I sounds good, but to me not nearly as awesome as the zed. I have'nt heard the Zard in person..so I dont know how that compares to the zed.

OMG, Jayb! Those wolf's must suck, because I haven't heard ANY inline four that's anywhere near as intoxicating as the triple sound! :-D

I gotta agree with CB, I've had many a japanese four with all manner of exhausts, and they do sound good, but none of them can compare with the nasty growl from a three cylinder Triumph.....Oh yeah!

I just ordered the Arrow titanium cans for my new to me 05 today! If I'm lucky they'll be here by the weekend.
Now I've got to attempt to get it tuned with the cans. The dealer wants $50 to switch the map and can't get me in for a couple of weeks, and they want me to leave the bike with them at that! I have half a mind to just order a Tuneboy and try to do it myself.
