ROTFL
I like riding at night as well, especially on windy roads that are busy during the day. Many good ones around here, especially in the semi-rural areas east of Seattle-Bellevue. Deer can be present, but I like the challenge.

Man, that's some scary biz Down Under! No wonder all the bikes in Mad Max had all that Armor
We have these little armored freaks, Armadillos. Perpetual roadkill. I was in Costa Rica a few years ago, and they were making Omelets with them!
This is Louisiana roadkill, the Nutria. Average weight, around 12lbs.

However, since most of my bike riding is on unlit mountain roads, I don't think the middle of the night is the best time to try to drag the pegs. I prefer early morning weekend rides when most of the populace is sleeping off their drunk.

Ditto. Freeways are most tolerable late at night, but I try not to spend much time on them.

I work odd hours, 8pm - 230am, and I discovered something cool. After about 230am there's no one on the road. I mean there's a coupla cars but nothing like riding during the day.

Just look out, those "coupla cars" are probably piloted by drunks just leaving the bar.

D@mn, that's a wambat!!!??? Looks like the retarded cousin of a koala. I thought a wambat was a flying animal not some kind of roadkill supreme. Geeeeeze, I'd hate to hit one of those.
Hey, quick question. Do you guys have backwoods inbred's that eat roadkill like that down there like we do?

Yes we do,but that's not all they do with the roadkill :-D And they do it upside down.

"It's like you own the road, like you rented the town for the night to do as you please"
I agree problem is Drunks in cages feel the same way. I was once stopped at a red light at 3 in the morning not a car around for miles , a drunk driver hit my car from behind at about 50 , used up about 5 of my 9 lives that night.

What a retard.....It really is a shame that drunks don't get as messed up as their victims. I think they should give cops the ability to equalize a drunk crash. Let's say the victim gets a skull fracture and two broken legs and the drunk gets a broken collar bone. I think the cop on the scene should be able to drag the dunk over to his car and slam his head in the back door till he has a skull fracture. Prop his legs up in the car and stomp on his knees until his legs break. To hell with DUI classes and fines, they don't work. I say if you get caught driving drunk the cop should make you put your fingers out the window and smack 'em with a baton. One broken finger for every point over the legal limit.

Yes, night riding is the best. Unfortunately, it's also more dangerous because you can't see that sand/gravel in the corner as well that's how I totalled my last bike. But, where I live I have no choice riding in the daytime in Charlotte you can't move let alone lean your bike. I've got to drive over an hour to find roads that aren't congested
