Wondering if any of you S3 buffs could possibly help me out. I would like to fit a set of Ohlins R&T front forks on my '06 S3. They do not make a set specifically for the bike.

Does anyone know of a set designed for another bike that would fit? Or could you maybe point me in the right direction. I've seen some discussion here about some GSXR and CBR forks that fit but I'd like to be certain before ordering.

I'd like to use the stock trees, if possible. Also would like to use radial mounded brakes. I believe that R&T's include the radial mounting brackets with their fork kits which are designed for bikes that came stock with radial calipers.

I've contacted Ohlins USA twice and they have not provided much assistance.

The fork measurements I found on the S3 are as follows:

Fork diameter @ top yoke = 52 mm.
Fork diameter @ bottom yoke = 55 mm.
Fork length (top of fork to axle center) = 720 mm.
Length of exposed fork tube between yokes = 180 mm.

Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Im sure ohlins can make them for you and you could get brembo 108mm calipers but this would cost you probably double what you paid for the bike.

good luck and let us know what you do

You should go with either a Racecomp kit or rebuild your existing forks using Racetech internals. Either way, upgrading the forks is going to be expensive. BUT, you'll notice a big difference with the right components.
