I have the Sargent and love it. Others have sent theirs back on account of fit issues.

You can read a lengthy review and discussion, with pics, of the Sargent seat here.

Nobody seems to have received a Corbin yet, so the jury's out, but the shape looks very close to the stock seat.

I believe both companies have money-back return policies for 30 days, so there's no real harm in trying both.

My guess is some folks will love the Corbin, some will hate it. Some will love the Sargent, some will hate it. Everybody is a different size, weight, inseam length, etc.

I'm guessing it's going to be a matter of personal opinion. I've had a Corbin on my Bonnie and a Sargent on my Falco. Not exactly a one for one comparo, but the Corbin was my favorite between the two. I liked the denser foam and the lack of welts made it easier on the inseam when you have your feet on the ground. Fit and finish was a little better on the Corbin as well.

However, I wouldn't dissuade anyone from getting the Sargent if that's the one that looks best to you. I really like the idea of the "tool tube" on the bottom of the seat to keep things from rattling around in there.

The UPS man just delivered my Sargent this afternoon. It looks great on the bike, and I love the feel of it. Unfortunately it's raining today, so all I got to do was sit on it in the garage and make "vroom" noises.

Having a lot of experience with both companies however, I'm pretty confident that you'd be happy with either.

I'm with ya:
I'm looking for the most comfortable, not just the nadd factor, but the distance factor first and foremost. I road 400 miles last Sat and my rear is still sore today!
I know this will run amuck, but anyone have the Sargent Leather? Don't care about the wet issue just want comfort first then looks.

My old Sargent was "Daytona" leather. It's the only one they offered. Nice quality and perforated with a diamond pattern so it was extra stretchy. I liked it, but it took on a ton of water when it got wet. It would normally dry out by the following morning. But if there's a rain shower while you're at work, you can count on having swamp nuts on the way home.

Just ordered my Corbin seat today, should be 3-4 weeks and I will 'of course' post a review of it here. I have had Corbins before and personally wish they were on every bike. I know a bit about how they are made and after studying the 'other' after market seat pics am glad I waited for the release of the big 'C'

So - until then. . . . . .

So how would the comfort of Triumph's gel seat match up against these two seats?
I'm leaning toward the Sargent only because it appears to separte the passenger from the rider so you dont feel like your wearing a ruc-sack

The Corbin does that too. The fit of the Corbin is hands down better than the Sargent, but styling is really in the eye of the beholder. The Corbin (just got mine) changes your overall position in the seat. I found the stock seat to force me forward thus requiring a bit of leg squeeze on the tank. The Corbin eliminates this. Seems the Sargent does too.

I picked the corbin as I liked it's simplistic styling and the fact it does look a bit like the original (which I had no issue with looks wise) The Sargent to me, looks like it belongs on a cruiser... and the piping looks like an inner thigh killer after some distance....

Here's mine:
