Hi guys, Any of you have the torque settings on the little pinch bolts on the fork, the huge 22mm front axle, and the caliper bolts on a 1050 Speedy?

I had to replace my front tire due to a screw in it, and want to make sure I torque everything down right.

A service manual is on order.

A side note, I had to run a tap into the caliper bolt holes, as the were allmost stripped out. (I bought my bike used with 1400 miles on it) I also had to run a die on the bolts. I couldn't believe how crappy those bolts are. Mines an 06 with the ***** black ones. I wonder if the 05's nice shiny ones are any better.

Thanks for the help guys,

-Jay

Front brake caliper to fork 40nm
Front spindle pinch bolts 20nm
Front wheel Spindle/axle bolt 95nm (the book states 110 but Triumph has issued an amendment and torque should be 95nm)

The nice shiny are no longer available according to my dealer. Guess I'll be looking at Ti bits soon.

Thanks Avi8or! I appreciate it!

Let me know if you find some cool replacement brake caliper bolts.

You better have a thick wallet............

Tasty Nuts

The caliper bolts are halfway down the page and are tapered socket caps not hex like in the pic. They are M10x1.25 metric fine.

If you want to save some money this place (Chinese) might be a lot cheaper (I've ordered from them and am extremely happy with the quality, but good luck with the payment hassles). You might also want to send them a drawing of the bolt. They will make you any custom Ti bits within reason.

Chinese Titanium

Do make sure that any stressed part (nuts and bolts especially) is at least 6/4 Ti. Other Ti alloys may not be strong enough.

OUCH! There must be a cheaper place. Even if they are just stainless steel, at least they will look better than what I have. I'll have to keep an eye out for something else.

If you check out this place you'd see that their M10 metric fine stainless bolts are not much cheaper than the Ti bits.

Stainless bolts.

Over here NO ONE stocks metric fine stainles and Ti is unknown.

Check out the Chinese site and send them an email. Their prices were VERY reasonable considering the cost of and manufacturing hassles of Ti. As I said, am very happy with their products and quality, normally half the price or less than Western equivalent.
