Radar Detector mounts

What does everyone use to mount their radar detector to their bike?

I found a few, the RAM Mount which uses a magnetic plate that is fixed by adhesive to the bottom of the detector and then fits into a baseplate and is held there via the magnetic force (the baseplate is attached by an arm to either the handlebars or to the unused mirror hole).

Techmount uses a velcro patch to fix the detector to a baseplate that is then fixed to an arm that attaches to the handlebars or a mirror hole.

The Techmount looks better, but costs 2x as much. My concern with the RAM mount is that since it attaches with a magnetic field that that field may interfere with the workings of the radar detector.

So, hasn't anybody mounted a dector yet? I'm seriously thinking about putting a V1 under the head lights with a remote display up by the instruments. But I would probably have to get a bat wing to have a place to mount it, which I haven't done yet.
