Hey RAT's! I sold my Speedmaster last night & picked up the bike I have been salivating over for years. She's a 2000 Speed Triple that literally doesn't have a scratch on it. It was one of those deals where the Sun, Moon, & Stars aligned. It is totally PIMPED to the 9's. It is loaded with goodies. Ohlins rear suspension, Ohlins steering damper, Race Tech Forks, Dymag Magnesium Wheels, Triumph Carbon high mount race can, Corbin saddle, Heli-Bar clip on's, Sliders, CRG bar end mirrors, Battery tender port, pillion saddle, and Carbon Fiber out the @$$. It cost me $180 to move from a 2004 Speedmaster with 4500 miles to this 2000 with 10K. I have been riding around town all day, sweating my butt off & laughing like a maniac in my helmet. I have to wear a full face so people don't think I'm some kind of freak with this stupid smile attached to my grill. It's AMAZING! Here's some quick & dirty's.

Thats a stellar deal considering all the upgrades that bike has on it. The dymag wheels alone would be like $1500+, ohlins rear shock $800+, all that CF would be over $1000 new...

GREAT FIND!

Sounds like you got the upgrade of a lifetime. Even though I'm not a carbon fiber liker, that's still a great bike. In all honesty I like that gauge cluster much better than the digital garbage that we have to put up with nowadays.

Enjoy it, and don't smile so big the top of your head flops off! I've had that happen, and it's embarrassing.

Very nice ride.
By the looks of the tire wear I would say your grin is going to get really big when you can get out on some twisty roads were this bike will shine! Better yet go ahead and plan a track day.
My 2000 Triple has been on the track a few times where I had a blast. And what I have really liked about is that I've had just as much fun on the two week sport touring trips or the cruise downtown - the speed triple does it all.

Oh man that bike looks sweet, very clean and nicely equiped. Those grins are gong to be pretty hard to control. Welcome to the nuthouse.

Any regrets about getting rid of the speedmaster, it seems like a great bike to me.

Nice bike. I spent a lot of bucks on a lot of those mods, including the Ohlins, Race Tech springs/Gold valves. I also have the Dymags. The difference in turn in and acceleration between the stock wheels and dymags is huge. You got a deal, dude. A little too much carbon for me, but that's me. Here's my 5 year project.

Thanks for the props. As far as the Speedmaster goes, it was a good bike, but was lost in the Sea of Harleys around here. Funny enough, I'm STILL lusting for a newish Bonnie that I can retro/cafe out. The guy that traded it in in 2004 was at the dealer today with his brand new Scrambler. It was nice to chat about the bike. It's had around 40 miles put on in 2.5 years. The owner of the dealership took it home after he took it in on trade, and it sat in his garage.

I'm not normally a big CF freak either, but I think he did a good job. The only things I don't care for are the fake carbon signals, clip-ons, & the mirrors. The signals need to go, and NOW. I ordered some Renthal Ultra-Low bars to replace the clipons. I ordered these Rizoma items on Friday.

I also have one of these Clear Alternatives LED setups coming.
