It's not too bad once you get out of Lumpkin County. Lumpkin will impound your bike and haul you to jail for busting a double yellow. Every ride I've ever been on out here has involved the popo in one form or another. That's part of the reason I was looking at the BMW. In my mind I thought that it would help calm me down a bit. After thinking about it I figured I'd be riding the Beemer just as hard once I got used to it so, I opted for the S3 because it's better at being a sheit and get bike.

Congrats Thunder, you will not be dissapointed. I took the S3 on a ride with 14 other bikers (most of them on Kawi's) the onther night and my bike was the one everyone gathered around. we rode aproximately 52 miles one way to a restraunt in another town (we do this every Thursday night) it was a blast riding it. I also had a chance to push the speed up there and test my *****, the bike is so stable at high speeds. The bike is pure fun. Enjoy! :-D

Are you home yet? What were your first impressions on the trip back from Chattanooga? Did you get a woody?

I saw Thunderpunk at Chattanooga. He was definately fired up but hung around a few extra minutes to hear mine get fired up with the Trident 1/2 pipe.

I had a h#ll of a trip, there was major construction on I75 northbound where it narrowed down from 3 lanes to 1. I lost an hour there getting to Chattanooga. Then there were about 6 guys buying bikes ahead of me so I had to wait around about two hours to get my paperwork done and the bike loaded. They were super nice and even threw in a T shirt because I had to wait. They were just hoppin!

Then going north on I85 the interstate was closed just before the SC line due to a big truck wreck & fire. The detour added a couple more hours to the trip. What should have been 9 or 10 hours took 14!

I just unloaded the bike at a friends business loading dock and rode it ~8 miles home. I was too tired to do anything more than check the oil & coolant and peal off some stickers.

I'll get a proper ride in Sunday morning.
