Don't even think about it. Get yourself a well ventilated full face helmet like an Arai or Suomy.

nuff-said :-o ....You see, a conversation with ones peers can often straighten out ones thoughts regarding bad choices and misadventures..

Think I'll sweat it out in my full face..need to lose weight anyhow.

I'm rocking one of these Nolan N102 Modulars.

And I have one of these Nolan Cruise Outlaws, but I may look like a tool riding my Triple with it. It is 100 degrees during the day FWIW.

I really want one of these!

I've been thinking of the same thing. I can't get much uglier, so a 3/4 lid would be nice for around town in the summertime.

I like the Davida Classic Jet, but I can't find any place that keeps them in stock around here. I'm about to just order one online, but I'm not sure what I need. Does anyone have any experience as to how their sizes compare to Shoei or Arai?

I have an Arai XD, Kind of a MX helmet with a shield.
Arai XD

I also have a Shoei X-11, among others... I'm a helmet whore too.

The Arai XD has much more ventalation... It is also noisier.
Noise and ventalation go hand in hand... wear earplugs.

The visor is great in the sun, Not so great at 70+ mph... tilt head down to compensate for lift.

Living in Florida, Winter is the only bearable season to ride, So I am always focused on staying cool when purchasing gear.... Still looking for a well vented jacket that doesn't make you look like a power ranger.

R100,

a co-worker of mine has the KBC Force RR. It's pretty cool but we made him tape over the "nips". :-) PC in the office you know.

Never ride without a full face.

I've tried many full face helmets and none are as comfortable as my KBC Jet. I know full face is supposed to be safer, but IMO if I'm not comfy in the helmet, then I'm not safe. Have been riding open all my life, all year 'round so I'm not about the change now. As for beanie style, forget it, too noisy and no protection, whereas at least the 3/4 has 3/4 protection.
