I know I have seen this posted but now I can't find it with the search function (imagine that).

Can anybody confirm that the Australian and/or South African spec bikes do not have the Secondary Air Injection (SAI)? I am going to have my new S3 delivered with Trident 1/2 pipe system and the map changed. If there really is such a thing as an Aussie TORS tune without SAI then that is what I want to get. Then I can unplug and eliminate the SAI hardware without having to add a resistor or worry about getting a MIL light.

Hey doc,

As far as I know there are only two Tors tunes, one for the California Model and one for the rest of the world.

Check this thread:
Air Injection Removal
Avi8tor posts up some tune numbers.

Mine is currently running 20103. (Staintune Pipes)

It's anecdotal but I must say that after living in Australia for a couple years I learned that very little was ever custom for that market. A country with the population of CA doesn't get much of that financial pull.

Legman–I love your quote!!!

Are those Triumph tune numbers or Tuneboy numbers? I'll forward the number to ny sales guy if it is a tune number the dealer will recognize. I want the 20103!

I got those off the Tuneboy site. However when I went to my Triumph dealer to load a map, a choice of four maps similar to the tuneboy maps came up on his handheld triumph computer gadget.

After a few minutes head scratching as to which was the most suitable 20102 or 20103, we decided to go with the CAT/SAI version the 20102.

Was OK for the TORS, but since I've fitted a ZARD and have a tuneboy I went with a modded tune supplied by Wayne (Tuneboy) based on the 20103 map.

Tons of backfires with this latter map so I blocked off the SAI pipe and only a few burbles now. THis map is pretty good and am very happy with it.

Waiting for my mate to install a wide band lambda probe and do a few data logging runs, maybe we could refine the map a bit for my particular bike and enviroment.

Thanks Avi8or. I told the dealer to install the Triumph tune for TORS without SAI. Hopefully that will work with the SAI removed. I may have backfires until I get the SAI blocked off as I have read the solenoid is normally open. I only have to drive it 5 miles from the loading dock to the house tomorrow.
