Hello everyone,
I'm a proud new owner of a beautiful '06 Speed Triple (Yellow). I have it for only few months and 3000Km later, I can tell you that this bike is pure pleasure. It's only my second bike (Suzuki SV650 was my first), but I don't think I could have choose a better bike.

It's been a while I was reading this forum, I finally decided to register

A friend of mine, who also rides a '05 Speed Triple, showed me some pictures of some exhaust for the Triple. One of them caught my attention: ZARD. It looks awesome.

After some search, I found a website where I could order a ZARD Slip-on (the complete line is too expensive):
ZARD Exhaust for Triumph

Two Slip-on models are available:

Z07074156 (499 Euros)

Z07074152 (449 Euros)[/list]
At the beginning, I didn't understand the price difference. It took me some time (I don't understand German nor Italian) to find the difference between the two models (thank you to on-line translator). Finally, after translating the whole product description, it seems that the one at 499 has a 'catalyst' and the other one don't.

My questions are:
- Which one is the most suitable for the Triple ?
- Do the stock exhaust has catalyst ? I've read on another site that stock exhaust don't have a catalyst. Is that true ?
- Any experience with the ZARD Slip-on ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Ripper,
yes the stock exhusts do have cats.
The best Zard, would be the one without the cat, go for the slip on.

I thought the difference was, one was Titanium, the other stainless. Hey I'm no expert!

I had mine custome made.

I went for slip on no cat. I didnt realise at the time there was an option to get the cat version. Its just as well as I would have selected the non cat as the cat eats some power.

Its easy to fit and sounds the biz with baffle out.

If you want the baffle out be prepared to dril a spot weld that holds it in.

Thank you for your reply.

You're right, the ZARD is available in Titanim and Inox (stainless ?).

Your custom made exhaust looks amazing ...

Hello !
Just to let you know that I've finally ordered my ZARD Slip-on :-D I'll probably receive it this week ...

I'll take some pictures of the bike before and after the installation ... It will look awesome on my Yellow S3 .... after black, the Yellow is the best looking S3 ... if not the best looking :-D (no offense to other S3s)

The full system retains the lambda probe. Nicely hidden out of sight I might add. Dunno regarding slip-on, but no probe will give a malfunction light surely.
