Alright, alright, other than the fact that we all have the best d*mn street bike yo hard earned money can buy, what's your addiction to this site? :???: I got to think'n about it the other night when I was fool'n around on here at the house, and my wife said, 'What's up with you and that Triumph site? You really are addicted aren't you?' Well, pretty much, yup! I have to admit it, I joined up for the same reason many of ya prolly did, ya know, all of that technical But after some time spent with all of you regulars on here(you know who you are! ), I just enjoy coming back day after day and cutt'n up with you fools! Plus, I have to admit, I've come to enjoy reading 'ol man' R100's threads. He's usually got some good one's that he comes up with.
So what is it that brings you fellas back time and time again? Other than the CB's technical posts that most of ya have grown to love! :-D

I like, and NEED, the tech info on accounta I am older than most rocks (except maybe the rock that Tracker lives under) an' these newfangled gadgets confound me, since I am used to the 1930s technology o' the old airhead.
I also like ridin' bikes an' talkin' bikes, but between the day job and the band, I don't get to hang out with motorcycle folks as much as I'd like. So I do it here.
Ya learn somethin' from everybody, from the serious gearheads like Martin an' Rob to the newbies. And whatever ya learn makes ya a better rider, helps ya take care o' your scooter, an' keeps ya safer.
Simple as that.

i think it's more a hobby related type thing. most of us regulars are really into our bikes and we treat it as a hobby, just like sports or anything else like that. i typically want to soak up as much information as i can about my bike. this is a good place to do it because you get real world information that you normally could not find from say a magazine or the such. lots of different opinions and viewpoints as well. a community devoted to triumphs. it's a good place to be.

I figured that was the case for you Limey! :lgh: And yes R100, I still appreciate all of the technical mumbo jumbo, because I'm still new to Triumph's, and heck, everything I've learned about my bike has pretty much been right here! There are some great guys on here(other than myself, of course  )that are quick and good on giving useful information. And for that, I say thank you ! So basically, in a round about way, I guess I'm saying... hats off to all you cats, I enjoy your company! Alright, enough of all of that mushy cr*p, back to what it's all about... the fastest color, right?

I have pretty much spent the last 4 months solid plugged in here... can't understand my need to see new Speed Triple issues come up on here so I can apply them to my own bike... I like to see new parts coming up on here and daydream about putting them on my bike...
my girlfriend calls me/us nerds.... fair point I think..

I'm curious to see how large an ego can grow before it pops.
:roflmoa2:
But seriously...I don't actually come back to this site as much as I used to. Of the riding styles that interest me in the Triumph range, only this forum, Supersports, plus sometimes the Tiger boards and Rocket III, still adhere very much to their original purpose and intent.
The general Twins forum is suddenly going the way of the Biker Hangout, which is an abominable waste of bandwidth that generally makes me wretch on those increasingly infrequent occasions when my morbid curiosity gets the better of me, and I drop in there.
The rest of the boards...mostly OK, but too predictable, tending to fall into the same ruts over and over.
I prefer being here where folks take their fun seriously, and vice-versa, and it's still mostly about our bikes.
