oil drip

Every once in a while my '04 Speed Triple drips a couple drops of oil out of the tube by the kick stand. The bike has exactly the right amount of oil in it, and I have checked the air box and it doesn't have any oil in it. What gives? Has any one else had some oil drip out of the tube?

Have a good look at where that oil is actually coming from Roller.

I have a very slow leak on my machine too, which appeared to be from the neutral switch insertion point. The dealer replaced the thing twice, still leaking. 3rd time round they found the bottom half of the crankcase is porous.

I'm now waiting for a new crankcase to arrive from Britain. Oil leak is up to 15-20ml after use now.


Not the sort of thing you'd want to spot the day after your warranty ran out.
