Ha! Slow news night, slow TV night. Usually I'm out playin' music, but the band has a break for a change, so I find myself ALMOST as bored as Cheap.

Y'know, for months I've bi+ched about never having a free Saturday night, and when I finally get one, I bi*ch about havin' nothin' to do.

That said, those are some pretty shots - I especially like the one of the tank. But what's that LONG thing hangin' off the back end? And when are you gonna get some rim stripes for that thing?

You know, that looks just like my bike....

After someone spilled mustard all over it. It looks more sticky than fast.

I'd tell you black is faster, but it's night and you probably didn't even notice me blow by you.

Exactly, and I live in Florida. So my black S3 absorbs the heat and through a kinetic process transforms that heat into energy, thereby making my bike faster.

Meanwhile, the scorched yellow (while a beautiful bike, as is any S3), is experiencing a "mustard-melting" effect from the heat.

Now, I don't know if you've ever driven a 1/4 mile through a giant vat of mustard, but I have (numerous times - don't ask) and it's no easy task. I have nothing but respect for those of you who CAN do this, but I found it a difficult proposition.

Of course, we're not even considering the monumental task that those on blue and white S3's have in front of them. For one, driving through a field of blueberries is like a trip on squishy ball-bearings. Ugh. And the poor folks on white S3's, well that's like driving on ice. All slippery, no traction.

See, it's simple logic. If you live in a high-heat area like I do in Florida, black is simply the fastest color.

And if you don't live in a high-heat area, well... I'm sorry. I can tell you my black S3 is a LOT faster than your rusting-in-the-garage, winterized S3 no matter what color it is. :hammer:

And actually, on second look, that yellow IS nice, but I'd replace everything silver with black, got for that "angry bee" look.

I don't believe I am getting involved in another "color" post.
Here is the deal.
The purrtiness of the color is in the eyes of the beholder.
I agree with CB that the Yella is purrdi. Whites/blues are
also good ( Triumph is doing a good job).

HOWEVER, as I have explained before BLACK is the FASTEST!!

Light is waves of photons( i.e. --energy). The darker the
reflected color, the less the light energy is being reflected
( i.e.---it is being absorbed by the object). The wave length
of yellow is 5750 -5858 Angstroms, blue is 4240-4912, the entire visible spectrum is 4000-7000. Black is the absence
of reflected light. Cosmic rays ( the very bad jhit 0.0005).
So all of the light energy gets absorbed by a BLACK speedy.
Where does all of that energy go?? It is converted to heat.
Once the Black bike starts to move ( I think that we are in agreement that none of the bikes are faster standing still-------Cheapbastard and others----let me know if you don't understand this point) the heat is released opposite the
direction of travel ( that is pushing the bike forward---as in FASTER ). Simultaneously the photons are getting sucked
into the bike the faster it goes thus creating more absorption and more heat. No the increased absorption in the front of the bike does not slow it down because the photons do not have mass. It is obvious that the effect is less at night but it is still there because of light from stars and reflected light from the moon ( full moon makes Blacky
faster).

Okay I am willing to answer good questions but no more silly stuff. :asb: :asb: :asb: :asb: :asb: :asb: :asb: :asb:
