chattery valves: anyone hearing abnormal chatter?

my bikes going in this morning for its 3000 mile check up. (actually have 3700 on)
on my last ride, i started to notice a bit of a chatter coming from my valves at around 4200 rpms. not on the throttle, not off the throttle, just feathering along and i don't know if it's always been this loud or not. having a keen ear i would have surely noticed the excess chatter.

has anyone noticed their valves chattering? i'll report back after the check-up.

the only loose valves i hear chattering is on the KTM/S3 thread!

my S3 doesn't recommend a 3000 mile checkup? :???: Hey Lilmey, why don't you go adjust them valves on the KTM thread?!? :hammer:

Yeah I too noticed that at certain rpms and at no load, the valves are noisier than other load conditions. Mine's been like that since 0 miles so I'm pretty sure it's normal. I actually like the mechanical sounds this engine makes compared to other brands. Gives it character!

good to hear. (your opinion anyway)
i think i was having one of those particularly sensitive ear days. rode it the other day and didn't hear the excess rattle.
