Just wondering if they're safe more than anything. They're obviously priced right, but I've seen some real iffy cheap rear stands before off ebay. Don't know anyone that has one of these. What do you think?

I just got mine a few days ago. The handle bolts together really solidly. The pins fit really snug. The only complaint I have is that my bike leans slightly when it's up on the stand. I don't know if they all do this, or if it's just this stand as I've never owned a rear stand before. I don't see it coming off of there or anything, but the bike doesn't sit perfectly level. The wheel spins freely while on the stand, and it doesn't walk off of the pin.

The reason I went with this stand over the highly recommended pit bull was the shipping. Due to the "breakdown" handle, the shipping was only $20 or something like that to Alaska. The pit bull was $160 (yes, for just shipping!) I'm only going to use mine for lubing my chain, and wheel removal, so it's going to work just fine.

the lean is not present for the Pit Bull

Maybe a stupid question here, but I'm not so familiar with SSSA:

Do all these stands allow for rear wheel removal??

For wheel removal the stand pin will go in the sprocket side for the axle. You can then slide the wheel off the right since the axle, brake disc, and sprocket stay with the bike. The only thing I don't know is how the bike stays on the stand. Is it just the weight of the bike down on the pin that keeps it from sliding off? Or does something actually hold the pin in the axle?

Hopefully it doesn't lean enough to throw off oil checking accuracy. I've been thinking about getting one of these myself, although the Powerstand Mario looks awfully good to me too for more money, of course.

Do you have any pics of your bike while it's up on the stand so we can see what you mean?

Here we go, I don't think it's enough to throw off your oil level off substantially. I think the rise in the rear would throw it off more.

Also, there were two pins included. One for each side. Just to let you know.

BTW Either I'm a complete dumba$$ or those wheel stickers are REALLY hard to get on correctly. I'm not really happy. I might take them off, or order more and try again, only $10 after all.

[EDIT] Bikeman, it's just the weight. But my bike doesn't walk of the stand, even with the slight lean (I put it in first to check!!!) Also, its hard to see in the pics, but the bike is well clear of the stand.

They look pretty sturdy and that tilt isn't that bad. I was just looking at the Powerstands Mario and it looks like it doesn't have the bearing that would allow the rear wheel to spin. The pitbulls and this one does so that's a plus. By the way, nice bike. I'm looking at a set of Jardines myself for my black S3. Does you foot ever contact them if you ride with teh balls of your feet on the pegs?
