ok...so after reading numerous posts about "clutchless shifting", i decided what the hell and decided to give it a try. before, my opinion was the clutch is there for a reason...USE IT.

i hopped on my bike and went for a ride. i got onto a nice stretch of road and decided to try out the clutchless shift from 5th to 6th. here it goes......

whoa. that was too freakin ez. like it was nothing at all. i downshifted into 5th and tried it again. double whoa. i decide hell, let's try from 4th to 5th. WHOA. no clutch and it felt so good. dayam.

so after experimenting with that, i decided to change the way i shift using the clutch. instead of wacking the gear lever up with my foot like a banshee, i placed my foot under the gear lever as if i were going to shift up without using the clutch, and as soon as i pull in the clutch, i easily raise the lever up into the next gear. totally amazing how much easier it is to shift now. why have i been wacking the gear shifter all for the past 2800 miles when i could have been gentle with it and had a much better experience? :hammer:

this bike just gets better and better. freaking amazing.

Clutchless shifting is indeed a nice experience. In MotoGP they do it all the time, except for downshifting of course. You just have to make sure that you are shifing exactly at the right time otherwise you might have some gears falling out

or find yourself sliding the rear tire.
make sure the engine speed matches the road speed when downshifting, other wise the rear tire locks up until the wheel/engine catches up to the road speed.
