anyone try their gear? Thinking about their sport boots and sport leather pants.

Pants= every site is different= some call them jeans, sport pants. The description of each site is always different such as what I thought was leather with sliders on one site was ballistic material on another then rain wear on another. What gives. :hammer:

Sport boots- I was looking at some sidi's but then thought how often I walk after I rdie so I was eyeing Diadora's Express but curious about Triumph's sport boot.

I've got two Triumph jackets--Retro & Raptor. Also a pair of Tornado jeans--textile w/hard knee cups & removable pucks. Good quality for the $$. Don't know about their boots, I'm wearing a pair of Sidis.

I have a pair of their pants - I forget which model. They're well made and seem to be high quality.

I just got a pair of the Tornado jeans (lots of armour, knee pucks, textile/waterproof) a couple of weeks ago and wore them to a track day. Triumph sizing is all buggered up. I wear a size 32 Levi 501...so I ordered a 32 Tornado jean. I could get them done up (with a fork!) and couldn't move. I felt like that guy in the pepsi commercial who want his old jeans back. Anyway, I tried on a 34 and they were better, but still quite tight and I knew that they would be uncomfortable on long days... so I ordered a 36. Thanks for giving me a complex Triumph clothing people!

I have the "Sport" pants, that have knee armor and lycra stretch panels in the crotch. I bought them simply because they fit me better than any other riding pants I tried. Very good quality, except for the waist zipper which doesn't match exactly with the Triumph jacket I have. They work, but if you zip it too far around it goes past the jacket zipper and comes un-done. I love my Triumph Jacket, which I bought about 6 years ago.

Rumor has it that the Triumph stuff is made by Frank Thomas.

edit: I hear your pain Felix. My jacket says quite clearly "46", while everywhere else I'm a 40 regular. Luckily I tried mine on before I bought it. The pants, however, say "34". I wear a 34/34 Levi. Go figure.

I wear 36" Levi's, and I ordered the 36" Triumph "Classic Jean 2." They fit really tight untill I Took the hip and knee pads out. Now they work great. I would still like to have the knee pads in, but I either have really long shins (or short thighs) or they're designed a little odd.

With all the pads in, I could hardly move.

Well I just got my Westbourne jacket today fits perfect; i wear 44 and it is the same.
Crash you said you have the Sport pants and said what some of the fabric areas are but are they also leather? I can't make heads or tales with this Sport pant: some say Sport some say Tornado some say water proof and some say cowhide depends which site your on. I'm I missing something?

Code:

Apparently they don't offer the "Sport Jeans" pants like I have anymore. They are 95% leather, with only the spandex stretch panels in the crotch- a nice if chilly touch. Technically, that's 1.2 mm Cowhide- leather to you and me.

They are similar to the "Decima" Jeans, but without the Triumph text down the sides. They look like this:

I guess you can still pick up a pair here:
British Motorcycling (If they have your size)

The "Tornado pant" is all textile- no leather at all.

The "Classic Jeans #2" are mostly leather with spandex stretch panels, but without knee pucks. The armor is inserted internally, instead of in it's own pocket on the outside.

The "Raptor Vented Jeans" are all textile- no leather at all.

The "Decima 2 piece suit" is mostly leather with spandex stretch panels.

A hint: if it says "waterproof" then it's not leather. If it says "Cowhide" or "Kangaroo", then it is leather. Cordura is not leather, although it sometimes has leather sewn to it.

For more information check out Triumph.co.uk/usa/clothing Choose "Leatherwear".
