I've had both Corbins and Sargents in the past and I much prefer the Corbin in terms of comfort. And the plus side is that I happen to prefer the looks of this Corbin, too. I'm glad I waited.
For anyone that's concerned about leather, it's really not that hard to maintain. Wipe it down with some conditioner about once a month or after it gets wet. That's it. The foam Corbin uses is quite dense so it doesn't rely on the cover for extra support. Therefore stretching isn't a problem.

Uh... I have a leather Corbin seat. Came with my BMW. Leather only belongs on a show bike, a motorcycle you are not going to ride much, or one that never is gonna get parked outside. In addition to what the sun does to it, when it rains, the leather gets soaked through, the foam gets soaked through, and your butt gets soaked through. And if you don't dry it in front of a fan or something and just let it sit, you're going to get mold in the foam.
And don't tell me about conditioners and waterproofers - it's like sayin' a rainsuit is gonna keep you dry. Yeah, sure, in a light five-minute shower. In a heavy rain? You're gonna get wet. Same with the leather seat.
Can ya tell I don't like leather seats for bikes?
Looks and comfort is gonna be a matter of taste and body size. Different strokes for folks.

I'm with you. I was thinking the Corbin looked pretty good until I read the leather only part. No way I want a leather motorcycle seat. I can see making leather an option for people who want it but leather only? Thats nuts!

I wasn't trying to start a big arguement, but y'all are really exaggerating the downsides of real leather. My previous Corbin was on my Bonnie which I used as a daily commuter for 2 1/2 years. The leather parts looked better than the day I put it on while the vinyl was starting to look ragged out and faded. Yes, leather takes a long time to dry, but it's far more comfortable the 80% of the time that it's not raining.
Again, it's 3 minutes of care once a month depending on use. In fact, leather actually requires less maintenance the more it is used. Anyway, I agree that plastic oughtta be an option for those who want it. But for those who have never had a Corbin and like this one, don't be scared off by their choice of covering. After all, you wouldn't wear plastic shoes would you?

I've had a bunch of leather Corbins on various bikes, and never had a single problem with any of them.

Well, I think that seat blows the sargent away personally. Not too overstated. And, you can do it in vinyl... Mine will be black carbon fiber, just like the sargent... Semi-custom. Also having the cowl mounts removed, if possible... Pics when it comes...

Have a Corbin on my Kawa. Comfortwise no problem.
My three gripes are:
1. The fit at the front around the tank is not so good
2. The thing is friggin' heavy
3. And most importantly the 'carbon look' leather layer is peeling away in a few places.............ugh!
I like the stock seat so I guess I'll pass this one up.

Wierd. I had a Corbin on my last two bikes and leather was never a problem. I've ridden through soaking rains and done nothing more than wipe it off when I pulled in the garage. Next day my butt was dry, it never soaked the foam to the best of my knowledge.
Anyway, with the Speed3 seat, I'm still confused as to why niether Corbin or Sargent made the rider portion longer than stock. I'd love to be able to slide back some on long rides. My bike is a solo bike so I don't care about passenger space. I'm a big guy and the stock seat kind of locks me in to one position. Another inch front to back would be perfect for me. Roomy, but not too roomy that I would slide.
