I did not see anything to suggest the first service should be free, at least in USA. I did it myself, 4 quarts of Mobil 1 (see manual for correct grade) and a Purolator PureOne filter. Check your fluids and chain, look for loose bolts, service done.
Dealer said if they do everything they try to keep it at about 100 dollars. They said if I change the oil and filter, they'll only charge me for .5 hour labor. I guess they just go over everything and hook it up to the computer to check some things. I'm thinking I'll just change the oil and not take it in at all. Anything wrong with using the Mobil 1 15w50 you can get at walmart? I've used this in the last two bikes I've owned for years. It doesn't have friction modifiers so it's safe for wet clutches. The dealer says it is different than the $50/quart "Triumph" Mobil one though.
