99 S3 problem

ok calling all S3 gurus, my baby has developed this PSSssT sound at idle, and the rpms drop, but cruising speed it does not do it. it's almost as if the injector hickups or a pop in the intake. any ideas, or fixes please help a brother out .

Check your header mounting nuts for tightness. sometimes all it takes is to snug those down to get rid of the pssst noise.

Hey SFC,
I have the same problem with mine. It doesn't really affect the perfromance any but it is a bit concerning. Tell me if tightening the header nuts works.

psssstttt sounds like a VAC leak...there's a few connections on these bikes...just not sure how loud it would be if they broke loose...

vac leaks would def affect idle
