Went to Laconia, NH for the last three days of bike week and removed my flyscreen prior to my departure. Must say I really like the look and it seems to me that the wind protection afforded by the flyscreen is minimal. At 100+ mph there certainly is more buffeting, but seems acceptable to me. If any favorable reviews regarding the mcj fairing come out I may try that out, but for now she stays sans screen :-D

I'm with ya lndspd! I took mine off about a month ago, and I feel the wind protection was very minimal. Plus, I really dig the looks without it! Funny, when I bought the bike, I thought I had to have it, now I thinks me likey better without! :hammer:

i took mine off about 2 weeks ago. looks much meaner. me likes. still assessing wind protection which doesn't seem significant.

Quite badmouthing the fly screen guys. I took mine off too, and you're depressing the value of these things before I can sell mine!

It's not a flyscreen. It's a PIXIE HAT. And it looks silly. Only a "nuclear red" bike would have a pixie hat. Naked bikes should be naked. The grumpy old guy has spoken.

I too thought that I had to have it when I bought mine, but now I love the look without. Of course mine is an antique '02 :-D

I think the screen looks much better on the current generation of Triples.

Next should be some clip-ons to further enhance the newly naked and aggressive stance... :hammer:

I have a white one that was on my bike for about 500 miles. Would that interest you?
