About to order this front brake master cylinder. Just wanted to get feedback from people who have installed this ? Does it reduce (and how much) the lever travel before it bites? Is the pazzo lever a standart fit to these?

I have had the upgrade from my dealer (new seals and lubricant). The brakes are fine but it has not cured the extensive lever travel which makes me nervous about emergency stops.

Yes, it will reduce lever travel to approximately half (hard to say exactly as I did the change during winter) of what it is with the stocker + the lever feel is harder. It will start to bite pretty much from the start, none of the stocker slack at the beginning of the movement.

The overall feel is not super, but much better than the smaller stock version. And this is much cheaper than a top notch Brembo radial unit.

The m/cyl is externally exactly the same as stock, so anything that fits the stock m/cyl will fit the 5/8 too including all the stock brackets, brake light switch & lever or any aftermarket lever designed for the stock assembly.

That would be sweet if it is in fact a factory Yamaha part, I'm sure it would be alot cheaper for us in US to just go to the yamaha dealer and order one......instead of ordering from Jack Lilley. Any chance anyone know what Yamaha bike its from?

I think a Kawi ZX9R from ~2000 used the same Nissin design, but ordered through the Kawi dealer it will be more expensive than through Jack Lilley.

Unless you can source a used part from ebay or your local motorcycle breaker. But again, I do not think it is worth the gamble to have an used one, with possibly used up rubber seals and a scored/loose cylinder bore.

I have a 5/8 master cylinder on mine. It was originally fitted to a Suzuki TL1000, GSXR 750/1000 is the same. The standard lever, brackets and reservoir fit straight on. It reduces lever travel by 50% and makes the lever feel much firmer without noticeably needing more effort to stop the bike.

Note: I have an 955 Speed Triple with axial brake calipers, not the radial calipers fitted to the 1050s

I've ordred a daytona 675 19mm radial master cylinder. It will set me back €170 (+/-215USD).

I will need to change my brake lines, but no money left and I want a different handle bar so the install will have to wait sometime. Also a Pazzo Racing lever is on its way to me.

When I've recieved every thing I'll post some pics.

I've got a set of black shorty pazzo levers with silver adjusters AND a 5/8 master cylinder for sale. $120 for the levers, $100 for the MC, or $200 for the lot. Shipping included in those prices unless you're outside the USA.

I swapped out for a matching GSXR radial master cylinder to go with my front end swap.
