they sound lovely and deep, have an aggresive growl to them... don't sound too loud.. I get a lot of good comments from my mates when they are watchin my tail pipes !! which is more often than not !!!
Personally I would like them a little louder but not by much... overall I think they sound right for the bike though... sound like they are made for the bike....

I am intrested in those cans....I'm used to a carburated bike, don't you have to change the FI map when you install them? How is that done? Is there a download for my laptop some place?

Yes, they need to be remapped.

I had them installed at my dealer, took very little time and very little money. The difference in sound, in my opinion, is rather drastic. I love the TORs, and the deeper, more "throaty" sound they have.

24GT,
I was very surprised by the sound of the TORS, I like it,.....but you may find out what I have, and that is:

Due to the location of the outlet, the angle at the outlet seems to send the sound up and out, and the rider is almost within the sound wave "bubble" (many other aftermarket pipes tend to have an extension, or a small down spout) the deeper sound gets "caught" in my full face helmet, and I have to use earplugs to keep out the droning at a steady speed.
The sound is no problem when I have my half helmet/goggle set on.

The guys at Palm Beach Triumph did the remap, and it runs purrrrfect.

24GT,

My girl says the sound was the same as my 2000 R1 with a D&D,.....with that cool 3 cyl. sound. So I would have to say it sounds just the way you would like,....a nice rumbling idle, and a great bark when you crack open the throttle.
