IMHO, 1400 miles on the bike could be plenty if it was abused during breakin. I turned down my dealer's offer of the demo bike with 50 miles on it (in the color I wanted too !) because it's unknown exactly what those 50 miles were like.. If I can swing it moneywise, I prefer to pay the extra $$$ to get a new one and then know how my bike was broken in...

Welp, it's a done deal. I just put a deposit on the one closest to me. He came down to within 50 bucks of the one 2 hours away. So I got it for $9950 out the door. bike has ZERO miles on it, so no worries about lack or breakin like I'd be doing if i bought the demo model. Oh, it's jet black baby! Picking it up tomorrow.

I agree with the local dealer post, howver I bought mine from http://www.southernpowersports.com/n...sc=Motorcycles

outstanding dealer and the local dealer still gets all the "routine service" win win if you ask me, by the way I drove 12hrs to pick mine up...well worth it and it is an 03!
