On the bright side, it should be a beautiful weekend. Always is after a storm. Long as a tree don't fall on my roof, I should be good to go.

Here's what happened the last time one came through

I really don't want to offend anyone here, but why would anyone want to live in a part of the world so frequented by severe storms?

I mean, I like where I live. Sure it rains in the winter, but I ride year round without any severe difficulties. June through October is Fantastic from a motorcyclist point of view, and the last serious storm was in 1962. Rarely do we get much (if any) snow. The days over 100ΒΊ F are few. Maybe 4 or 5 a year.

Actually, I lied about all of that. Please don't move here like everybody else is.

Hmm... year-round ridin' weather perhaps? Lotsa reasons.

I am one of the few native-born folks left in this li'l danglin' phallic participle of a state. I'm so old I can remember when you could drive along the coast and see the beach - not mile after mile of condo and resorts. It was a lot different then. But I won't start on that rant.

Anywhere ya go, ya got weather. Arizona? Heat and drought. Washington? Rain and snow. New England? Nor'easters an' snowstorms. Upper midwest? Gets so cold your breath freezes. Midwest? Tornadoes. California? Earthquakes an' mudslides.

Ya pays yer nickel an' takes yer choice.
