I know these hot Florida roads chew up tires, but, I'm just about to change my rear again in a week or so, this will be the 3rd one on 5k miles. 2500 miles per tire, is this normal or me just being cheap. and no burn outs! :-D

I get about 5000km from a Pilot Power or Pilot Power 2CT rear and roughly 8000km from a front.

But I rarely ride on straight motorways, so I guess that this does not apply if you guys over there have no twisties or elevation changes. And if that is true, I would suggest a move to somewhere else as soon as possible. You can always talk the missus into the move with your "but honey, we will be saving thousands on the tyre expenses" card.

Hey Limey, what do you keep your tire pressure at? I can't say fo sure, but the 1st tire on mine lasted 3400 miles, but the bike had 2200 miles on it when I bought it. The 2nd tire had it's life shortened by a nail, but I think I could have gotten around 3400 miles on that one too if it wasn't for the d*mn nail!!! I'm starting to run a little more pressure now, around 38 on the rear. 2500 miles does seem pretty short.

What's the wear pattern? A lot of highway riding will eat 'em up quick.

that's true Limey. If you're doing lots of highway miles, that may be it. I would tell ya to move up here close to me with some good twisties around, but I don't know if I could stand ya!
