Already folks, finally getting around to posting some pics of my new paint job. Now, we have heard all the arguments about what color is fastest. Unfortunately, there can be only one true winner and that is my graphite gray with decails removed. Because of the dark color it exhibits all the same benefits as black (which I won't detail here as it's covered many time over). However, the decals also cause wind resistance thus slowing it down. No decails == much faster. Hence, I win! Not to mention the best fender eliminator.

Windscreen has not been painted as I think it's going bye bye. Otherwise my painter has the paint to finish it off.

I'll only be able to post a couple pics right now but will put the rest up sooner or later. My modem is hosed so I won't be checking the forum as much as I would normally if you decide to tell me how sexy she looks or how much you hate it.

Who said the former paint wasn't removed?

Also, for the record, the front fender is carbon fiber....even less weight.

jdub,

What a great job. That's the color of my helmet and my car and I personally like it better than any color that Triumph offers (even my beloved black). Are you gonna tack on the Triumph tank decals?

Hey jdub3 I don't ordinarily comment on color choices. You have a
GREAT paint job there.
My observations are as follows:
(1) You must also go to your color for the rear pegs/brackets,foot controls ,radiator covers, headlights,
handlebars, and risers
(2) the color is closer to black than the other colors so you
would be second fastest ( REF Pg 2802 Wave Lengths of
various Radiations--Handbook of Chemistry and Physics--
forty third edition----the latest Ihave here---)
(3) you make a good point about the removal of decals.
However, quoting---Elementary Differential Equations and
Boundary Value Problems---W.E.Boyce---Pg 135 for
boundary conditions----being the friction of the decals relative to the passing air---in this situation C2=0, C1sinPi+
C2cosPi=1---therefor " this boundary value problem has
no solution." ( e.i.----in English ----that little jhit don't count
