Excellent, track days are just total fun.We are basing our annual trip this year around track days instead of the GP.One at Phillip Island,Eastern Creek and OranPark incorporated intto our 6 to 7000 km round trip.Haven't done one on the S3 yet but can't wait.Keep havin' fun and remember there is a lot of wankers out there.

Looks like fun. Anybody want to post some details?

Like how much did it cost? What equipment was required? How much did you have to do in the way of safety modification to the bike? Were there any basic skill requirements?

There are at least a couple of ways to get on the track. One is 'track days'. Provides minimum instruction and normally groups folks into novice, intermediate, and expert. There are typically tech requirements for the bike, the throttle must close by itself, good brakes and clutch action, tape off lights, remove mirrors, etc. Locally these run $125-$175/day. The other option is 'track schools'. Like Keith Code's Superbike School, Jason Pridmore, and others. I just attended a Keith Code school at Barber Motorsport and it was an absolute blast in addition to the learning aspect. About $450/day if you use your own bike. The instruction was excellent, worth every cent plus riding on Barber is a hoot. I've heard Freddie Spencer's school is $2,000.

+1 on taking a riding school. I did Reg Pridmore's @ Willow two weeks ago. Sooo worth the $300. CLASS tours from track to track all over the US.

More details here.

It was also featured in this tight documentary, .
