Hi Guys, What can I do to get rid of that ugly tupperware on my handlebar. I know you can buy a machined one to replace it but I'm thinking it would be nice to keep a lower apperance. If anyone did this kind of mod send some pics lets see it. Thanks Guys.

You have two choices, either a billet tank like my Rizoma or get a 5/8 nissin master with an integral tank.
The latter 5/8 solution should also solve the controversial mushy brakes syndrome.

This is not the best pic. It's a Rizoma fluid container with a bottom connector. I bent the bracket to raise the container and I shortened the tubing to tidy it all up.

Avi8or, where did you get your braided hose for the fluid container? I was thinking on getting a clear tube but like the braided one you have.

Sparti,

You can buy stainless braided flexible water hoses for water tap fittings (does that make any sense?) over here quite cheaply. The middle part is rubber which can be cut easily with a hacksaw. Strong tape can be used to prevent the braid fraying.
I just slipped the braid over the tank hose carfefully (to prevent fraying) removed the tape and held the newly 'braided' tank hose with the original clips.
Voila braided hose for a few cents........

Avi8or,

Was your solution a kit, or did you have to do some fabrication other than the stainless braided addition?

Did the tank just bolt on without any other modifications as seen in that picture? If so, I am going to order one. What is the part number or name of the tank? I have seen quite a few different versions but yours looks by far the best.

Thanks Avi8or.

PJs has a shorter, wider version of the Rizoma fluid reservoir. Has anyone had any experience with that version?

I had the shorter side discharge black Rizoma from PJ and liked it very much. The mounting plate is slightly longer than necessary but I never got around to making a custom one. I just rotated the stock hose slightly on the master cylinder. I think it is much cleaner looking than the tall resevoir. Avi8or's first reply has a pic.

Thanks Avi8or.
Thanks Odium, funny you should say that but I actually didn't want THAT particular tank, and ordered it by mistake as it happened to be the first one with a side spout that came up on Carpimoto's site. However in the flesh it looks better than any other tank I have seen. The lid has a rubber 'O' ring around it to help screw/unscrew the lid. Seems this 'O' ring is perishing/splitting after less than two months......... and a trip to the local 'O' ring stockist is in order. About 10c should do it....hehehehe.

The tank was a straightforward bolt on with no problems whatsoever. You get two spouts. Just choose the one with the tupperware/master cylinder size. size.

Anyhow here's the model I ordered from Carpimoto:
