I'm a new S3 owner and I am doing some basic accessorizing and those goofy mirrors are going to be one of the first things to go. I can tell by reading these posts that this mirror thing has been beaten to death but I also see that everybody likes to give their opinions and that really helps us newbies make good choices before plunking down cash to replace the stock components.

So here is my dilemma: I like the look of the Rizoma Reverse Retro bar end mirrors and I think they will provide the best visibility because they are right out on the ends of the bars. But, I really like the wicked-cool look of the Rizoma Radial Naked mirrors (in black, of course) even better. You can see images of both of these below.

Can any of you offer opinions on comparisons of rearward visibility on these two mirrors ?

Bar end for me.

Better to get a good view before you pull out to overtake.

yeah, the stock mirrors are a safety hazard for sure.
I went for CRG lane split bar-ends. Good rearward visibility and they also fold backwards out of the way.. cool stuff...

The radials look great but at $275.00 I didn't find out if they actually worked. The only mirrors I have heard that actually worked are bar ends.

BulldogHooligan,

I can't give you a firsthand comparo of the two, but I have the Rizoma Reverse Retros barend mirrors and although they're small, they're awesome. If you take a minute to adjust them properly, they give you just what you need to see to 1) change lanes, or 2) know when to give the Go Handle a little twist to keep the soccer mom in her Sequoya on the phone with a Starbucks from ruining your tail tidy project.

CB
PJ's Price is $122.00 each plus you need a $12.00 adapter for each and then shipping - If they actually worked I would get them but I am not soaking almost $300 for the same result as stock.

Love my Reverse mirrors. Work best when flipped outward.
