Talon alarms are great products, insurance certified, and way cheaper than the factory alarm, with far more options. Right now a stock fitment isn't available, but Brad of Talon is interested in making one.

He needs pics of the factory alarm connectors on the ECU's of as many different Triumphs as possible, as well as ECU part #'s. If anyone who can get/has that information could post it up, that would be great. If you don't want to bother with pic hosting, email pics to me ( josh<dot>harding<at>gmail<dot>com ), and I can pass them along.

I'd really like to get one of these alarms, so I'm hoping to help him out a little.

Here's a review from webBikeWorld of the Talon alarm: Link!

The alarm connector that to my knowledge has remained the same for ages is
Plug: TYCO AMP 173851-1 / RS 362-9086
Female: TYCO AMP 174933-1 / RS 362-9193
Push-in pins: TYCO AMP 175029-1 / RS 362-9373

All wires needed (blinkers, LED, ignition, power, switched power etc.) are present at the plug so he should not need the ECU information at all. The pin layout can be read from the S3 shop manual, cannot remember which was which from the top of my head (and it might be a good idea not to advertise the exact layout on a public forum like this).

If I remember correctly the part he needs for the alarm side of the plug is the "Female" listed above (+the push-in pins, naturally).

Any info on this yet? I found Talon's site and they are reasonably priced at $140Cdn.
