I recently installed the Triumph hi mount off road can on my 955i (2004) Speed Triple. I also took the bike to the Triumph dealer and had the TOR tune installed. The bike runs great, plenty of power, no flat spots. I do however get quite a bit of popping on decel below 5,000 RPM's. Is this normal?? Also does any one know the latest tune number for this bike?

Its normal and annoying if you're trying to keep your 'spirited' riding at least a little low-key.

I have the Triumph carbon fiber high mount and it does the same thing...and I love it!!! Love downshifting into 2nd and hearing that pop, pop, pop. Reminds me of a Lotus Esprit V8 with a custom exhaust that I drove for a few weeks before selling.

What a coincidence. I have a freind named Russell who lives in Austin who had a Lotus Esprit for four days before totaling it. I did get to drive it first, though. Shweet car.

houston05s3,

I was an "exotic" car dealer for many years...lucky to drive many cars. Didn't own a car for almost 7 years. Drove whatever was available in the lot...many times rigs like this...

I get the popping also. I like it, but thought it was supposed to go away after the remap. Makes me wonder if the dealer did it correctly.
