I know alot of people make S3's out of daytonas, but I was thinking about going the other way just with the front top fairing not the full fairing.

I was wondering if any one has tried to put a daytona front top fairing and headlights on a triple?

I was thinking about it but have not seen it done and was wondering if the fairing mounts to the side and lower fairing or if it mounts to the headlight assembly.

any one have any info about this ?

thanks

Your Daytona top fairing conversion will be an expensive job as it requires both the headlight assembly and the fairing stay. If you're lucky on ebay somehow, you might do this conversion for under $500, but more than likely you'll pay a couple hundred bucks for the stay, a few hundred for the fairing, and anywhere from $100-300+ for the headlight assembly. The headlight alone retails for a ridiculous price.

Also, unless you're doing the union jack topfairing, the 02-04 fairing is a bit plain and unappealing without the side fairings. You're better off finding something like the Roadracing screen or Roadracing Alien fairing (which includes projector headlights) and keep a semi-naked look.

I'm partial to the Alien fairing and if I get my ass in gear, I plan to make one using Buell XB headlights and convert my own front end sometime this summer.
