I had the TOR map and the High mount carbon fiber off-road can and my bike backfires and burbles like a SOB. Even doing a custom map on a dyno (which greatly smoothed out the low-end) didn't get rid of the bangs on decel.

I don't mind them all that much, but it would be nice to get rid of them altogether as it draws unnecessary attention to my bike when I'm in the upper revs and chop the throttle.

It was REALLY annoying at Deal's Gap where I was ripping through 2nd and every time a turn came up, *BANG ba bang bang bang!*.

1/2 watt is marginal. At 14 volts it is going to be dissipating .63 watts but I'm sure the duty cycle is not too high. You would be better off with a 1 watt resistor or two 1/2 watt 44 ohm resistors in parallel.

Do you mean two 22ohm 1/2watt resistors in parallel?

No. Two 44 ohm 1/2 watt resistors in parallel will be the equivalent to one 22 ohm 1 watt resistor.

Don't sweat it too much, the solenoid duty cycle must be pretty low so you aren't that likely to burn out what you have.

Now if someone would make a professional version of the block off plates ala Graves Motosport, I would be very interested on purchasing a set.

say a 12vdc system at 22 ohm as I see it.

12/22=0.54545amps

12 x 0.54545=6.5454watts(power)

I don't do DC systems but a motor is an inductive load not
a resistive load so when it is energized it wont be 22 ohm.
You could put a meter is series with the load and see
how many amps are being used.

12/amps=ohm

volts x amps =watts(power)

I think that should be much higher than 22ohm.
