MOTO GP roll call

hello my fellow Triumph owners. i am excited to be going to the races in Monterey as usual. what i would like to ask is...

1. who is going to the races from southern California?
2. what day are you leaving to the race?

i thought it would be fun to get a group of Triumph owners together and head up the coast....let me know.

I was hoping to make the journey over this year but alas it was not to be. I am hoping next year will be the year. I'll just have to TIVO it I guess. Have a blast.........

JMHO of course - I went last year and found it really great to be at a MotoGP race for the first time. However, I thought it was WAY too crowded once inside, and getting there was such a hassle with the poor traffic management that was provided. The ride up and back is great, but I think I'd rather watch it on TV. I liked going to Laguna Seca better when the WSB was there, as it was easier to walk around the vendor area, buy food, and watch from a good vantage point. YMMV.

hey stmike........they have put on a ton more vendors for the event and the traffic has been totally redone....only motorcycles will be allowed in to the track....the general public in cars is going to be bussed in. motorcycles do have to enter from the Salinas entrance though.....they made a lot of changes to help the flow...last year was a huge learning curve for the track personel....check out the web site for the new plans....

I'm probably going to ride up on Thursday. Got a campsite and a couple of guys who are going to ride up with me - one of 'em is on the new Daytona 675. What's your plan? It would be cool to get a bigger group together. I want to take the 1 up through Big Sur. Never done that road before.

I might ride down for Sunday, from the Bay Area. I'd be glad to meet any other S3 riders who go.
