Welcome! Bienvenido!

Follow the manual, keep varying engine rpm while riding, it is ok to hit redline a couple of times.

Mine had a sticker on the tank that gave mileages and rpm. Don't they all? I ignored it mostly anyway

Congrats...you're gonna love it! I picked up my new '06 S3 (black) about 2-1/2 weeks ago. My advice is to ignore the sticker on the tank...it's intended more for liability than for engine break-in. My dealer mechanic confirmed the same and recommended varying the rpm's (don't hold at one engine speed for a long period of time); don't bog the engine; and, try not to redline it (too much). He noted this is also what Triumph recommended to him (off the record of course). The whole point of engine break-in is to make sure the rings bed nicely. If you hold at a constant rpm or strictly follow the VERY low rpm limits cited on the tank sticker you might find you burn oil once you change out the heavy break-in oil (plus it would totally suck to ride!). You only get a limited window when the bike is new to bed the rings properly...after that you just have to live with the result. Just ride it and enjoy it and don't worry that you're going to break it...these engines are bullet proof and need a good work out to set-up properly.

Oops...I didn't mean it would suck to ride after break-in... but that it would suck to have to keep the rev's down as low as they suggest on the sticker while you're breaking it in. Note also that the owner's manual doesn't say anything about rev limits for running in a new bike.
