i know the zr1 vettes came with it but i didn't know trans am's came from the factory with synthetics.i'm not a big GM fan but kudos to them for using the good stuff in more than just their flagship.


and please no one take offense to this if you use mobil 1,but the last synthetic comparison i looked at ranked "the new formula(exxon)"mobil synthetics near the bottom.they actually barely passed synthetic standards.my brother still uses it in his car,me i've used amsoil for over 15yrs and like it.and yes they were at the top of the list and it wasn't alphabetical.

don't beat me up to bad,just expressing "my" opinion.
and no i'm not an oil expert,but i did stay at a holiday inn last night. :hihi:

I think it was an option or factory thing , but being the LT1 in my 95 is still an LT1 who knows. My owners manual also states nothing about the dextron antifreeze but sure came with the dextron sticker, orange lettered cap and dextron in the radiator. It was a late made 95, Sept I think. It also has the obd2 connector with obd1 PCM.

Thank you for contacting Red Line Oil, two oils can be mixed to achieve a viscosity between them. There isn't an SAE 45 weight, so it would be a high 40 weight or a low 50 weight.
