Holy *****... My father and I went out to the Triumph dealership to do the demo day only to find there were no 675 demos and the only one left was marked up $500 over MSRP...

SO, he and I swapped bikes and followed the demo group. Anyway, we got to a straight stretch of road away from sight of any police and I decided to try and do a 1st gear power wheelie. BIG MISTAKE! The bastard popped up about 2ft at 3,000rpm then JUMPED another (what seemed like) 3ft so I was balancing on my buttcheeks for a second or two before I chopped the throttle out of fear and slammed the front end down, effectively lowering my virility by a few percentage points.

But that wasn't the end of it. I took a moment to think about what the heck had just happened and realized I was perhaps a little too eager with the throttle. I then proceeded to do a couple more controlled 1st gear pop-ups at a lower height and was still amazed at the fact that such a heavy bike could wheelie so easily...

I think if my father's clutch lever hadn't been bent from a recent drop in the garage (and adjusted properly), I might have tried a 2nd gear clutch up.

If I can get a brave soul to hide in a ditch on an empty road, I might get some photos.

Yes, the Rocket can wheelie. And quite easily, I might add.

The Rocket will do one of two things when you grab a bunch of throttle. The rear tire will either bite and raise the front end or the it will break loose and go into a nice controllable power slide/ burn out. A Rocket wheelie isn't as a 'pleasurable' experience at an S3 wheelie though.

Kuhlka, you ought to ride a Rocket that has had the secondary throttle plates removed and ignition remapped in the first 2 gears. There is no need to clutch it in second gear to get the front end to raise.
