Lom, by any chance could you photoshop to see how it would look with black Cans/heatshield?

And while you're photoshopping, can you black-out everything else that's not already?

Glad all you guys are in CA, I thought I'd be the only one doing this.

You know by blacking out the pipes you get about 3 additional hp - not because of the heat reduction but because it's BLACK.

No need for Photoshop, check out Lowgloss' bike on the last page of the "pictures of your bike" thread.

Looks like it'll cost around $200-$260 (matt black ceramic coating), exact price depending on the weight of the pipes (shipping), their mood, etc. It's really hard to get these guys to actually read an email, you ask about black they quote you silver. Turn around time is 2 weeks. No discount for multiple orders.

Also asked jet-hot directly, they quoted even more.

OK, so who goes first?

I spoke with someone on the phone at Andrews and was quoted a price of $190 plus $50 extra if I wanted cans done. He (unfortunately I didn't take a note of his name) also said we could arrange a discount for multiple orders of the same finish. I'll call again early next week to verify the price, specific finish and possible discount. I was thinking of delivering my pipes for coating on Mon. July 10. If that time slot works for anyone else let's attempt to get a few done for a discount. Also if anyone else interested has another coating company in mind I'm all ears.

Sounds right for cost of coating, as Scott Andrews quoted me $175 for silver finish (even though I asked about black). The woman I spoke to at Andrews, on the other hand, told me to add around $40 for shipping to Jet-Hot, and that they wouldn't offer any quantity discounts. I'm suspecting that stripping charges may also apply, as they were mentioned in a direct quote from Jet-Hot.

It's very hard for me to commit to a particular future date as it all depends on work load, but if they do end up offering a meaningful quantity discount and quoting a final cost I'll do my best to fit in group's schedule.
