Any one have any idea what this is? I've seen this for sale in few online placs that sale Triumph gear, but they never tell you what it is for.

In France and some of the other less masculine countries of Europe there is a 100 hp (ps is roughly the metric equivalent) limit on motorcycles... therefore the mfgrs put a restrictor plate on the intake to limit the amount of air entering the intake plenum (therefore limiting the amount of O2 and corresponding fuel). Think NASCAR and the tracks that require restrictor plates.

There was some eurocrat nutter a few years back who wanted to limit the power on bikes. Massive biker protests led to shelving of the plans. Guess some countries adopted his plans via the back door.

Anyone from France here who can give us the lowdown?

Now there's another euro nutter who wants to levy a SMALL (watch it increase regularly if adopted) charge on every email.

If you put six restrictor plates on a black S3 the power
curve will start to come down to that of a Scorched Yellow
bike :kck: .

Wolf e-mailed me the Dyno charts. Quite impressive. :-D

This has been proposed in the United States by several people as well. Notably by (SHOCKER!) Bill Gates of Microshaft.

I have seen somewhere that it is just a throttle stop bolted to the throttlebody.
