well it seems through all the help from you decent peeps on the forum that i need a different speedo cable!
(see previous cable routing post!)

from what i can gather there were two types of speedo cable for the early triples- one with straight end going into speedo, and one with angled end.
angled end appears to be the shorter, so 'old' style straight end is required.
i don't know when they changed, and jack lilley can't help.
they seem surprised that the daytona one doesn't fit.

they also can't provide lengths.

anyone got any part numbers?

cheers all!

travis mate- pictures were perfect! got 'em a-ok.

yours is definately longer (ahem!) its also exactly the same style(straight end into the speedo)

the problem arises in trying to order the thing.

with the potential of cable length changing with year, plus i can't specify the year i want (94 daytona with a 96 sp3 yoke set up etc) i run the risk of spending whatever crazy money triumph speedo cables go for on a useless item!!!

plus i got a speedo cable off ebay which is supposdly from a 96 sp3- which is exactly the same length as the 94 daytona.
BUT is not an angled end- it's straight too. !?!

i have two plans of action-
take a ride to a dealer in Essex who have a 95 or 96 sp3. see if i can try the cable- or at least measure that one.

take a ride to local kwak dealer and see if a z cable will work. probably cheaper too.

failing that- i am tempted to go for your kind offer. maybe send me a pm or email with the price?
my head hurts now....
:hammer: :hammer:
