OK here's the scoop...

Spent the last two days leading rides at the dealership while the Demo Truck was in town and I had a chance to ride everything but a Tiger. I spent most of the day Friday on a Daytona 675 and that thing is awesome!

I'm seriously considering trading in my 2001 Speed Triple and selling of my SeaDoo XP, which I only used 6 days last summer and getting the 675.

If I end up trading I'll have several bits an pieces to sell from the Speed Triple, but can any of you talk me out of doing this?

I realize that it would be much less comfortable for my wife, but with a 4 year old and a 6 year old, she rarely goes with me. By the time they are big enough for her to have much free time to go with me I will probably be ready for whatever the top Sport Touring bike is.

I can't justify two bikes right now, so keeping the Triple would not be an option...

I don't think I can talk you out of it. If the 675 was around when I bought my 04 S3, I wouldn't have bought my 04 S3.

The sound of the 675 is hard to turn down.

oooh, tough one there tt. I don't think anyone should try talking you out of it if that's what you really want. Don't know what kind of scoots you've had before the speedy, but I can tell ya from experience, the supersport bikes are a little unrealistic for me. I had them for 10 years, and I've only had my S3 for 6 months. Me and my buddy swapped off the other day(he has a 03 gsxr 750), and I only rode it about 30 minutes and it about killed me! I don't how I did 400 mile days before on my R1, but I know the speed triple is much more comfy and plenty capable. But hey, the 675 is bad ass, do what ya want. Just make sure if you do get rid of your S3 that you still hang around here and talk junk with us! :-D

I'm a Speed Triple rider, but sorry, I have nothing to say that will talk you out of getting rid of yours in favor of a 675. The 675 is a GREAT bike. DO IT!

If you had a new S3 I would be hard pressed to say do the 675... However, considering your's is a bit older (still awesome) the 675 blows it away... If the new S3 is NOT part of the equation.... DO IT... The 675 is simply bad a$$...

I would love to have a 675 myself but if I was only able to have 0ne bike it would have to be the S3 - for all the reasons CB gave.
I reckon you should get the bee of buying a new bike out of your system and go and buy a new S3.

Go on... you know its the right way to go.

I test rode a 675 before i got my S3 and it is a great bike but not as usable. Also when i was out on it it made me realize i wouldn't have my license long, turned me into a red mist seeing nutter that wanted to race everybody and everything. Good luck try a new S3 its way different to the one you have.

i would have bought a 675 instead of my s3 if i was going to be doing track racing. i mean, after all, that's where it's heritage comes from...the track. if you are wanting to race on a track, go for it! if not, the s3 will own it on the street.

I spent the entire day yesterday with my buddy on his 675 in the mountains, that thing is incredible. I can't catch it from the lights, even after I have taken a tooth off the front, in the twisties he just keeps pulling away, and it looks and sounds great too. If it was around when I got my S3, I would have been hard pressed to make the right decision. Good luck mate, sorry I can't help any more than that.
