It seems MCJ faring/windscreen/flyscreen (or whatever it is called) keeps coming up as a better alternative the the Triumph Batwing. Does anybody have one? I have tried emailing MCJ directly as well as their distributor but to no avail.

Sooooo
1) Does it work better than the Batwing?
2) Can it be easilly un-installed?
3) How can it be bought?

Thanks

I've got one on order from www.speedup.it. I ordered it on May 5th. I then sent an email request into that company 2 nights ago asking how long it would be to arrive...no answer yet.

The guy on the T595 board that got one (from speedup.it) said it took 4 weeks to arrive (and then 3 months for them to send the proper bracket that should have arrived with it).

Here's what he said on that forum:
"...the screen is really good (as good as any on the sports bikes I've had before) very easy to install with a bracket that bolts between the light bracket and the back of the instruments. I ordered mine from http://www.speedup.it (can't see it on their site anymore) and had a few problems with it turning up without the mounting bracket but after 3 months it finally turned up. "

So, I'm hoping that mine arrives in another couple of weeks and it has the bracket. As soon as I get it and mount it I'll be back with a full review with pics.

BTW, here's the link to see his bike on T595.net. You might need to register to see them if you have not already.

I don't know if anyone at speedup is reading the common emailbox. I sent a few inquirys about the very same screen, but with a 1050 bracket, to speedup about 2-3 weeks ago and got no reply.

***** Italians. I do not understand why it seems to always be so difficult for them to sell their stuff. Customers lining up and wanting to buy, but they just stonewall. Must be some mediterranian marketing tactic I am not familiar with.

Carpimoto.it seems to be the exception to the norm though, they have always been good & prompt.

I agree, Martin. And not to offend, but in my business life I've had several occassions where I've done business with Italian firms and they all seem to take the "smell the roses" approach to business. It is maddening at times.

Believe me, I'm crossing my fingers on this transaction.

Thanks guys,

Ya know...I might just wait to see how you fare before I order mine.

Would you mind letting us know?

I wish we had a US distributor.

The MCJ screen is by far the best looking I've seen. I NEED to have one!!!

Captain, Please report your findings!!! I can't even locate the darn thing on that speedup website. IF it works for you I will certainly be contacting them to see if it is still available.

Best of luck!

I may just need that luck. I cannot find any MCJ products on that site now. I just sent them another email asking what the hell is going on.

I ordered mine this past fall and it took me about 5 or 6 weeks to get the fairing & hugger. Unpainted. Be patient. They are very nice. Much better than stock.

I ordered direct form MCJ... The italians do have a major SLOW approach to business. If you do order direct, be specific as to what you want. You will need to wire the money direct and it will take about 4- months for the items to come after all is said and done. I liked the belly pan, but decided to drop it...
