Ok I bring home my new to me 97 S3 tommorow and I allready realize I need a new tank bag as my magnets are useless on the plastic tank.

I heard the triumph bags have a pad that stays on the tank and has an opening for the fuel , is that true ? Does anyone know what part number or do all the triumph tank bags have that ?

My second or other option is one of the marsee bags that I think has straps.

I have the Triumph tank bag, and it is very good quality. I recommend it. You just have to order the one for the 97-01 Speed Triple/Daytona.

Try www.luggagelocker.com... I just got the setup for my S3 and it works well. Easy install, great quality.

Yeah, the TTB has a hole for the fuel. the base of the bag attaches with 1 strap in the front, and 2 in the rear for a secure fitting. The bag attaches with velcro and 4 straps with quick release clips. To gas up, you just undo the front clips and flip the bag bag. I like the Luggage Locker stuff, and have the Seat Sack for my bike. but I think the TTB is a really good piece of kit, and prefer it over any other tank bag for my '01.

Excuse my ignorence on these issues, I'm a new triumph guy.

I can recommend the Baglux system its a tank cover and bag. Top quality and east to fit in moments.

Forget the silly British Army bag; its was OK too.
