you might want to try pipecity.com. They were carrying them for $850 in March. I think shipping is usually free.

Some one has a used set of carbon arrow cans for sale on Ebay, out of Santa Rosa, Ca I think. Starting bid was $500. I bought my Ti cans from the ebay store Corners put up, for $845 shipped.

My opinion is that a can is a can is a can. As long as the exterior is in good condition then there should be no problem.

If the can is so old that most of the packing material has burned away you can always disassemble and repack. But as 1050 is just a year old model I do not see repacking necessary in quite a while.

From the same country in no particula order consider
Gianelli, Leo Vince, MiVV, GPR, and if you're not averrse to spending over $1000 (over $2000 for the Titanium version)and like reverse magaphones then consider the ZARD.

Aluminium Jardines seem quite resonably priced.
