Signed up for a Pridmore track/riding school, and have been wanting to acquire an '05+ 5.5inch wheel & 180 tire combo for my 955i. But it occured to me that maybe the wheel hubs or even entire swingarms are different.

Anyone know if I can fit a 1050 S3 wheel on my 955 S3 swingarm? A 1050 owner with some part#'s in their manual would be real helpful...

This one w/ a GPR undertail did the reverse setup:

I know Monkeyhanger put a 955 wheel on his 1050. Shoot him a pm and see if he knows. He's already switched it back, but I've seen a pic of his bike with it mounted on. Hope this helps.

You could could buy 190/55 tire instead. It would be more flickable then 190/50 and give you sharper rake then 180/55. IMHO there is nothing wrong with new better profiled 190/50, Pilot Powers for example par excellence. Stretching 180 on 6" rim thus flattening its profile is just laughable but some swear by it. I guess it all in ones mind. I regret not being able to answer your original question but I had that irresistible urge to do some rambling this morning. Have fun riding the track, I envy you. In a good way though.
