Tracker, you can download the software for free and have a look yourself: http://www.tuneboy.com.au/Support/Download.html

You just cannot modify anything on the bike without the license+cable, but all tune editing etc. works as it would on the full version.

This is where I go nuts and start to drive the supplier nuts.
I got to TuneBoy_Triumph_v_3_0.Zip then I opened it.
It showed 15 files ( or folders).

I opened: _Inst32I.EX_ and my friendly computer said
"Windows cannot open this file: To open this file, Windows
needs to know what program created it."----go online
or into my computer to find out the answer.

Since neither myself nor my computer know anything,
I decided to go on line which put me into " Windows
File Associations" with a bunch of choices which were
all too scary to try.

So, since I can't even do this simple step I shouldn't buy
the product correct?

_Inst32I.EX_ is a compressed file. Strongly suspect you need to unzip the file into a folder and start the installation from there.

Limey, you have over estimated my "Windows" knowledge!

Avi8tor, I somehow unziped it ( whatever it was??)
What I have now are 15 choices. Which to pick? Why?
If each choice has 5 selections then I will have75 chances to be
wrong again! I don't know if the 15 things are files ,folders
papers, note cards etc.

The setup.exe ,but it looks like someone has simplified your Windows settings so that the file extensions are hidden.

Because it is the only executable program file in the bunch.

That would be the bolded file you should be doubleclicking:

WOW. It actually worked  . I was able to
print pages to read  . I am an extert .

Now I have to figure out if my Compaq PC has a Serial port
that is of the correct type. I KNOW that if I bought TuneBoy
even if the connections were of the right type , that it
would take my weeks of trial and mostly error before
I could get any use out of it.

Thanks for the help guys.
