I thought I would post some pics of my current project.
I want the option of low bars and higher than stock bars
with more pull back. I am substituting allen head bolts
for philips heads in the throttle and switch housings
because the stockers can get the heads messed up
pretty easily. I will get a longer brake line by early
next week.

Stock Vs High Bar

I am going to cut the high bars because they are too long

Low bars

I think the high bars are 'hangers'... The low bars look odd. It really depends on how you like to ride and just what position you will be comfortable in. I have Renthals and think they are perfect. I would think the high bars would make cornering weird, and the bike look more like a wannabe cruiser... Just MHO....

Nice one. Would be interested to see more pics of the bike with those drag bars fitted. Hard to tell how it looks from those pics.

Let us know how well they work and feel when you get to test them too.

Geof3 you may be right about the high bars. We will see how they handle. It is more of a pullback and wrist
angle option. they are only about one inch higher
at the center of the grips.

I like your style! You should be running a custom shop or R&D department for Triumph! Very quality conscious!

Keep up the great work, pictures and ideas.

Where are you getting your longer brake line? I'm thinking about getting the SW-MOTECH handlebar risers which will need a longer brake line as well. Should be very easy to go back and forth with these, they just go between the stock lower clamp and the bar. It looks like there is enough slack in all the other cables and wires, can you confirm?

Hey Cheap-----they are NOT ape hangers
Doctor stuff means I can't ride today.
Low bars have 100 mm pullback, 0 rise and 30.5 inch width as
compared to stock 135 mm, 70 mm and 29 inches.
I have changed out from philips head to allen head as
follows: right switch M5x .8 20mm UHL :
throttle M5x .8 20 mm UHL : left switch M5x .8 40 mm UHL.
FYI the mirror threads are M10x 1.25.

I am showing both Ducati and bar end mirrors for comparison
only so ,no wise cracks

Hey Tracker, is that a garage you have there or an art gallery? Sheesh I've never seen anything that neatly decked out...

Drag bars wider than the stock ones!!! Man I'd be cutting those down. Looks like there is enough length on them to cut quite a bit off...
