I hear a very noticable ticking sound coming from the valve cover on the left side.
I don't know if it is normal, I haven't ridden the S3 in awhile ( a month or so )
been riding a supermoto.

The S3 only has 4500 miles on it. I thought it might be a little early for a valve adjustment.

The S3 runs strong, ( TOR's and a map ) but It is a very slow starter, like 10 to 15 rev's. to get it to fire. I keep a battery tender on it.

Other than the slow starting and of course....the brakes, I love this bike

I'm not sure if it's related, but the T300 engines are notorious for this.

Maddening Noise Issue

It seems all the Triumph Triple engines are very noisy. Let us know what you find out.

The slow starting bit from cold seems to be 'normal' for this engine. Otherwise she fires up pronto. No noticeable abnormal ticking. I'd get my valve clearances checked otherwise.
